What to Expect:

Our tryout process will evaluate performance on a range of skills specific to the athlete’s primary position, along with more general skills and concepts appropriate to their age group. Time will be split between skill work and scrimmage-based drills, and our full program staff will be on rotation between all courts to keep our training environment fast-paced and high energy.  We understand the pressure associated with a tryout, and do our best to help all athletes treat this process as if it were any other night of practice – nobody wants you to succeed on the court more than us!

At this tryout we will be fielding athletes for both our Elite and Regional Programs (outlined below), but note that specific team placement will not be assigned until later in the season.

Lastly, when registering for tryouts please be sure to select your rising age group for next Fall. For example, if you played 14’s (typically 8th graders) during the 2024-2025 season and will be a freshman in the Fall, you should sign up under the 15U age group. Additional details will be sent out to all registrants ahead of our tryout date, including information on the tryout results process and when you can expect to hear back from us.

In the event that you are 100% unable to attend our July 12th tryout date but are still interested in exploring the opportunity to compete with MOD this season, please reach out directly to Bobby Hughes – Girls Programming Director (15-18u) or Eunice An – Girls Youth Programming Director (10-14u).

Note: NEW 11U & 12U Season Structure | Our 11U and 12U teams will be experiencing a more consistent schedule that spans from November to Late April/Early May. Many of our families have been asking for more, and even at a young age, we see the determination and desire to play a sport at a high level and with lots of passion! This season will continue through the Spring with no “season end and restart”, but we will still hold a secondary tryout to capture any new athletes that wish to join for a short Spring Season. With this, there will be no team shuffling of rosters, but only pure add-on teams. We’re excited for this change and know our teams are up for the challenge!
