2024-2025 Girls Season Tryouts

Girls Program Tryouts Are July 20th

We are excited to kick off another season and are looking forward to seeing you in the gym for our 2024-2025 Girls Program Tryouts! Once you have looked over the information provided here, please be sure to review the sections below to learn more about both of the program options we have available this season – Elite & Regional. We’re looking forward to seeing many of you soon, and please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

When: Our tryouts will be held on Saturday, July 20th  at the following times:

A98I4040-Enhanced-NR

What to Expect:

Our tryout process will evaluate performance on a range of skills specific to the athlete’s primary position, along with more general skills and concepts appropriate to their age group. Time will be split between skill work and scrimmage-based drills, and our full program staff will be on rotation between all courts to keep our training environment fast-paced and high energy.  We understand the pressure associated with a tryout, and do our best to help all athletes treat this process as if it were any other night of practice – nobody wants you to succeed on the court more than us!

At this tryout we will be fielding athletes for both our Elite and Regional Programs (outlined below), but note that specific team placement will not be assigned until later in the season.

Lastly, when registering for tryouts please be sure to select your rising age group for next Fall. For example, if you played 14’s (typically 8th graders) during the 2023-2024 season and will be a freshman in the Fall, you should sign up under the 15U age group. Whether you hope to compete as part of our Elite or Regional Program, we have an excellent season lined up for our athletes and can’t wait to get started!

Additional details will be sent out to all registrants ahead of our tryout date, including information on the tryout results process and when you can expect to hear back from us.

Important Notes:

  • Please be sure that your PLAYERFIRST profiles are accurate and up to date.
  • ALL athletes must register for tryouts in order to participate in the 2024-2025 season. Returning players, this means you too – please check your email for additional information from the club on this process.

Note: NEW 11U & 12U Season Structure | New for the 2024-2025 Season, our 11U and 12U teams will be experiencing a more consistent schedule that spans from November to Late April/Early May. Many of our families have been asking for more, and even at a young age, we see the determination and desire to play a sport at a high level and with lots of passion! This season will continue through the Spring with no “season end and restart”, but we will still hold a secondary tryout to capture any new athletes that wish to join for a short Spring Season. With this, there will be no team shuffling of rosters, but only pure add-on teams. We’re excited for this change and know our teams are up for the challenge! If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our Girls Youth Programming Director, Eunice An – eunice@modvolleyball.com.
